Growing up in northern Vermont, I was the kind of kid who spent my evenings after school and weekends outside playing. In school, I played soccer and was a basketball cheerleader. Outside of formal competition I had family and friends who kept me busy playing baseball, football, rollerblading, biking, hiking, fishing, etc... You name it, if it was outside and active, I was there. I did not grow up a "girly girl"...I grew up a girl who could hang with the guys and enjoyed every minute of it. I hated rainy days when it meant I had to be cooped up with my brother and forced to entertain ourselves within the confines of our house. I didn't grow up watching tv or playing video games. I wasn't attached to a cell phone or a computer screen. I truly believe that the active lifestyle I was introduced to as a child has lead me to enjoy the active lifestyle I live today.
I attended Keene State College in Keene, NH from 2000-2004 where I graduated with a B.S in Exercise Science & Nutrition, an A.S. in Alcohol & Chemical Dependency and also completed a minor in Business Marketing & Management. My four years of college are ones that truly helped to develop who I am now. I made lifelong friends who all share a similar passion for life and laughter!
After living in several parts of the country over the past decade (Boston, Northern Virginia & New York City) I now reside in Denver, Colorado. It's amazing how challenges in life can bring you to some of the happiest decisions you will ever make. Colorado is not only a beautiful state filled with sunshine and gorgeous mountain peaks, but it's filled with people who share the same passion for a healthy lifestyle. My decision to live here, is hands down one of the best decisions I have made thus far.
