Get Better Together

#GetBetterTogether...this is what one of my good friends uses as a hashtag when posting pictures of his fabulous workouts with his clients and/or friends...and I couldn't agree with it more.

Today I woke up and decided to take a walk along the trail and just enjoy the early morning hours with a little music and peaceful serenity.  While walking, I noticed just how many people were exercising with others.  Be it a friend, a spouse, or their children, people were "getting better together" around every corner.  And simply, this is one of the many reasons why I love Colorado!

This afternoon, I too, enjoyed getting better together with a few good friends.  I am grateful that I have such amazing people in my life who love to share in the outdoors and more importantly can handle me and my craziness for more than a few hours at a time!  We found ourselves in Golden, CO at Mount Galbraith Park...a very nice 4.5 mile hike with fantastic views.

And truthfully the best part of afternoons like today is that exercise doesn't even feel like exercise.  We laughed and shared stories throughout the entire hike and had a great time.  Nicole and I even found ourselves on the top of the rocks attempting yoga poses (and yes, I almost went falling into that tree).

Life is short and we only live this life once.  We shouldn't look at exercise as something we HAVE to do, but something we WANT to do.  A lot of times working out can be a daunting task to do alone, but I encourage you to find others that share the same passion to "get better" as you do and do it together!  Not only will you laugh and smile (which bring along their own added health benefits) but you will encourage each other along the way and come out of it more successful!
